Walking
Les Granels is set in 25 hectares of private grounds, so you have plenty of space to explore without even leaving the property! In the immediate area the road that ends at Les Granels is very pretty and quiet and perfect for a longer walk.
If you feel like exploring a little further afield, then you are staying in the middle of a beautiful area. The Lot valley is divided into three main areas. The Causse which dominates and gives our landscape its distinctive character, then the green hills and valleys to the west and northeast Quercy Blanc and Ségala. This wonderful variety of landscapes makes the Lot a perfect area for walking.
Most striking to see are the incredible cliff-lined river valleys of the Lot, Célé and Dordogne. Over many millions of years they have carved their way through the limestone plateau of the Causse to eye-catching and spectacular Canyons. Add to this the picturesque towns in the area and you have a perfect place for walking, be it a short wander or a day-long hike.
